Meghan is 10 years old this year and is just as correct as she was as a first freshener. She still has an incredible top line and very strong feet and legs. Her mammary has aged and matured, but has not moved at all during the years of raising her own kids and being milked. Meghan is one of the top milk producers in the Silverstreams Herd. Meghan is also the goat of distinction for her inate intelligence. She has been the most gifted goat that has ever been raised in the 30 plus years that I have been breeding goats.
Meghen's 2007 twin doelings have been reserved for months and we are pleased to fulfill this order. Meghan surprised us and kidded again in December 2007 with triplets. This kidding produced kids of mixed (Nubian X Saanen) heritage. Meghan doesn't care about their ears, she loves them all. The doeling has been sold and the bucklings will be going for Easter.
Since Meghan is still very healthy and willing, we will be rebredding her again late this winter.. This may be the last chance to get a Meghan son or daughter, so please reserve your kid early.

Silverstreams Milkshake
Milkshake is Meghan's (see above) Great Granddaughter. Milkshake freshened last year and milked steady for over 8 months with an excellent quantity of milk. Although Milkshake needs to grow into her full build, she has the correct ingredients to make a well developed, comformation correct doe. We already know that Milkshake will do more than her share in filling the milk bucket and we are pleased to have a descendent of Meghan's in our herd.
This year, Milkshake was bred to Howcroft HP Glow and will have some of the limited "Glow" kids available. We lost dear Glow to a bowel rupture this winter and his son, Silverstreams Noble Prize is breeding the does that Glow had not had the opportunity to settle.

Silverstreams Mecca
Meghan seems to have a history of not liking our Saanen bucks as she choses bucks of other breeds to romance with. Mecca, although a recorded grade, is a daughter of Meghan and as such is a valued member of our herd. Last year, Mecca did not catch, so we didn't have anything to report on her. This year, Mecca has been bred to Howcroft HP Glow and will have some of the limited "Glow" kids available. We lost dear Glow to a bowel rupture this winter and his son, Silverstreams Noble Prize is breeding the does that Glow had not had the opportunity to settle.
